CAL-CAP®'s revolutionary system starts with a specially prepared base upon which is placed a heat-seamed, low density polyethylene liner. This liner, which is spread over the entire sub-surface of the court, is practically puncture-proof and impervious to extreme weather fluctuations. Over 5,000 feet of laser-drilled, dual-chambered polyethylene tubes and pipe are then installed, allowing for a remarkably high degree of controlled and carefully monitored flow of water to exactly irrigate the upper surfaces of the court. The CAL-CAP® system collects and stores natural rainwater beneath the court surface, and when needed is automatically fed by capillary action into the upper surfaces. The CAL-CAP® system layers a specific geotextile mat above the entire dual-chambered piping, not only protecting it from contamination, but also allowing water to migrate up, down and laterally throughout the entire sub-surface screening, thus creating a surface of unmatched consistency. Above this geotextile mat is installed a complex substrata of EIGHT different aggregate washed or vacuumed screenings before the final, highest quality Tennis Court Material clay is surfaced. The CAL-CAP® irrigation system is offered with or without the HYDROMANAGER SENSOR SYSTEM, which utilizes electronic sensors beneath the TCM at each half of the court to "read" the moisture content of the surface and constantly monitor the replenishment of the exact amount of water your court requires. This remarkable, yet simple system always insures a perfectly consistent playing surface, no matter the weather, humidity or season. A turn of the dial sets the Hydromanagers to correct seasonal settings and your court automatically takes care of itself, engaging and shutting off when necessary. |
